Laila Biali

Vancouver native, jazz singer, pianist, composer and arranger, Laila Biali is the new face of contemporary jazz.  Laila performs original music as well as pop or rock music transcribed into a jazz format.  While Laila's sound falls into "crossover" territory, she still retains the purity of ther traditional jazz roots while cleverly putting her own stamp on recognizable material, turning popular hits by Sarah McLachlan, Feist and others into sophisticated piano ballads.

Laila has collaborated and performed with Sting and worked with other world-renowned artists including Chris Botti, Paula Cole, and Suzanne Vega.  She has toured five continents, has performed at world-class venues, like Carnegie Hall in New York, and has received numerous accolades including SOCAN composer of the year and Keyboardist of the year at the National Jazz Awards.  Join us on this intimate journey with the amazing Laila Biali.  If you aren't already, you will soon become a huge fan.
