The Arts Program Bursary supports individual students who require partial financial assistance in order to participate in arts programs not registered through Parks & Leisure, and run by the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council.

Bursary Information

(please read carefully)

-  Applications must be received at least 3 weeks prior to session start date
-  Bursaries will only be granted toward one program per session per student.
-  Each intake will award a maximum amount of $300.
-  Amounts awarded are dependent on funding available at time of intake.
-  Please note that due to limited funds each year, financial assistance is not guaranteed.
-  Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Please note that traveling expenses are not eligible for funding and any funding awarded must be applied to the cost of the arts program.

Application Criteria

Please submit a completed application form, along with an application letter plus two character references (references cannot be related to the applicant).

Full applications are to be submitted to the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council, Attention: Carol Cheremkora.

The application letter must include:

-  Your interest in the program you are registering for and why you are interested in participating.
-  Your current situation detailing your financial need.
-  Your future goals and objectives.
-  Why you are a deserving candidate for the Arts Program Bursary.
-  Information on whether or not you have applied for and/or received funding through the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Parks & Leisure Services Participation Program

The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council reserves the right to publish information and images pertaining to the award and the recipient.
