The ACT (Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council) is located in the heart of Maple Ridge and has undergone rapid growth in its first 4 years. The multi use facility includes 2 theatres (500 seat proscenium style and a 170 seat Studio Theatre), an Art Gallery, Pottery Studio, Arts and Crafts Studio Space, Café ACT and lobby spaces. We are currently seeking to recruit Customer Service Agents and Café Attendants.

Customer Service Agents

Part Time, $10 per hour

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Point of Sale, Microsoft Office experience and ticketing software experience (preferably Venue Manager)
  • An interest in the arts or knowledge of the arts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or with a team, multi-task, and have excellent planning and organizational skills
  • A confident approach and an open and direct personality
  • Need to have a flexible working schedule

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

 Directors of the Board 07/08 – Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Arts Council

 

Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Arts Council members are invited to submit names to the Arts Council’s Nomination Committee for Board nomination. 

 

The Arts Council is looking for current members to fill vacant positions on the Board of Directors.  Nominees presented to the Nomination Committee must have the consent of nominees.  Members willing to let their names stand for a 3 year term, must be available for scheduled monthly board meetings, committee work and occasional meetings outside of the regular meetings.  Individuals may submit their own name.  Successful nominees will be asked to become a member of the Arts Council, if they are not already, as well as submit a resume and a short biographical statement with the nomination.

 

When considering a nominee, please forward names of skilled professionals in their field, who possess some of the following qualities: planning skills; familiarity with not-for-profit; interest in governance, strategic thinking and a belief in the continued development and future of the Arts Council.  Currently, the Arts Council is looking specifically for an individual with a background in finance to act as Treasurer.
