Rythm of the City
The city’s inner rhythm is illustrated in the works by artists, Susan Marczak and Brent Halfyard. Both urban artists have close relationships with the city. Their works celebrate the flow and movement of the city. Using their expertise in colour, familiar landmarks are captured to celebrate the city and its beauty.
Susan has particular interest in the flow of movement and light that defines night in the city. Brent has an artistic interest in magnificent and historic architecture. His series of works exaggerate angles and have a form of liquidity that creates a rhythmic movement giving viewers a new prospective of Vancouver.
