ACT Turnes Five

Ha Ha's Comedy Cabaret Club

Ha Ha's Comedy Cabaret Club
Featuring Daniel Packard and Friends

The ACT is thrilled to bring big city comedy to Maple Ridge as The ACT presents Ha Ha’s Comedy Cabaret Club. On Saturday, December 15th, The ACT hosts its last live stand-up comedy night of the 2007 series cabaret style in the Genstar Studio Theatre.  Hosted by the completely quirky Daniel Packard, the last comedy night of the 2007 series opens with Jeffery Yu who started doing stand-up in 2002 by winning Vancouver ’s Funniest Comic with a Day Job contest. Since then he has appeared in the Vancouver International Comedy Festival and was the runner-up in the 2004 Vancouver Last Comic Standing contest. In the summer of 2005, Jeffery will be taping his own Comedy Now! special.  In addition to performing stand-up, he has also written for the television program, This Hour has 22 Minutes. In the short time that Jeffery has been performing comedy, he has developed an act that has been described as edgy, insightful, and wickedly funny.

Headlining act Lachlan Patterson is fast becoming one of Vancouver's funniest - and standing at over 6'4", tallest - comedians. Most comedians use their sense of humour in lieu of good looks. Lachlan Patterson is an exception. This striking, strapping lad from British Columbia can make ladies swoon just by staring at them. Fortunately for comedy fans, his material is equally captivating. Lauded as “One of the hottest young comedians in the country” by the Vancouver International Comedy Festival and “a terrific young man making a name for himself” by CBC television, Lachlan will also appear in his first national television special on CTV which will help introduce him to the rest of the country. He has also recently returned from Montreal where he performed nine shows at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and taped his own Comedy Now! in Toronto where he'll also be featured on an episode of MuchMusic's popular Video On Trial. With his unique style and quick wit Lachlan captivates audiences the moment he sets his feet on stage. What’s his style? Well, let’s just say Lachlan will leave you with chest pains while knowing way too much information about his personal life and loving every minute of it. “Clean and true!”- Enns Mitchell, Owner/Manager, The Comedy Union, Los Angeles .

"I actually look forward to getting dumped, getting my car towed, and bouncing cheques. You have to feel the emotion associated with the joke every time you tell it for it to be funny every time." Lachlan Patterson

Don’t miss these three fantastic comics on the last Ha Ha’s Comedy Cabaret show of the season! It’s Saturday night of hilarity not to be missed!

“This great series of comedy nights brings the best stand-up comedy out to the ‘burbs.’  Mark these nights on your calendar, make a reservation at your favourite local restaurant and make a night of it! It’s like a night out downtown without the traffic.”
Fred Armstrong, Publisher, The Maple Ridge Times
