ACT Turnes Five

Maple Ridge Concert Band Holiday Concert

The Maple Ridge Concert Band is pleased to announce the first of many fundraising events for the 2007-2008 season.

This popular community organized concert band group had hosted a "sister community band" from Australia this summer. The Campbelltown-Camden District Band (Sydney Australia) embarked on a cross Canada tour with their final stop in Maple Ridge. A special concert was organized at The ACT featuring the two bands combined. The highlight was the magnificent sound that filled The ACT with over 90  strong musicians combined.

The Maple Ridge Concert Band will host a guest group, the Maple Ridge Choral Society at a pre-Christmas concert event.

The Maple Ridge Concert Band is an active community organized musical band that has welcomed many adult and student musicians since 1946. Conducted by Ed Dumas, they are readily seen performing at local parades, Remembrance Day, hospital and community events, Canada Day and the ever popular Twilight Tuesdays in the bandstand. The funds raised through this event will go towards supporting our ongoing programs and possible travel opportunities.

Anyone who is interested in joining this fun community group is welcome to contact info@mrcb.ca or visit our website at http://www.mrcb.ca/
