The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council offers Educational Arts Programs to students and teachers in order to provide an opportunity for children of all socioeconomic levels to engage in a variety of fine arts.
Professional artists with experience teaching large groups of children instruct workshops that introduce fundamental concepts in various disciplines including drawing, drama, painting, pottery, music and collage. Students work on projects with the artist for 1 - 1.5 hour session in your school or at The ACT.
The goal of the workshops is to develop imagination and problem solving skills while experienceing the contribution of working artitsts to our social and cultural fabric
