This program starts with a tour of the current exhibit and then finishes with a hands on art project.

Rhapsody of Light, T. Cetnarowski - March 8 - April 12

Thomas is a local artist who lives in Pitt Meadows. He specializes in landscape paintings inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding areas. His use of colour is not to duplicate nature but instead to express the moment. Thomas' method of painting is the Plain Air method of painting, which was made popular by the impressionists. 

 

It takes approximately thirty minutes to discuss the artists' influences, method of working and techniques. Following will be a hands on workshop.

 

Standing on the EDGE: Youthful Expressions - May 1 - May 31

The MRAG will be host to the emerging talent of youth in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows areas. Youth have been asked to reflect on social, political, or personal meaning in their lives and to express that in Fine Art, Performing Art or Literary Art form.
