Gallery Tours & Workshops
The MRAG is host to a variety of different events around the exhibits and special events outside of the gallery.
Private Tours
Take a guided tour of the exhibit, where arts professionals will introduce you to the world of visual literacy. Then, solidify the learning objectives discussed during the tour with an hour-long art project. Groups interested in arranging a Private Tour should contact the MRAG at 604-467-5855.
Field Trips
Allow us to offer a unique experience to visit exhibits at other art institutions, such as the Vancouver Art Gallery. Have a great time touring an exhibit with like-minded people, without the worries of traffic and parking, as you are transported to and from the gallery in a coach bus. Is there an exhibit that you would like to see? Call us to suggest our next outing; we always welcome your input!
Educational Arts Programs

The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council offers Educational Arts Programs to students and teachers in order to provide an opportunity for children of all socioeconomic levels to engage in a variety of fine arts.
Professional artists with experience teaching large groups of children instruct workshops that introduce fundamental concepts, in various disciplines, including drawing, drama, painting, pottery, music, and collage. Students work on projects with the artist for 1 - 1.5 hour session either at your school or at The ACT.
The goal of the workshops is to develop imagination and problem solving skills while experiencing the contribution of working artists to our social and cultural fabric.
To book a workshop, contact Maureen McGonigal at 604-476-2789 or email maureenm@mract.org
