King Arthur’s Kitchen explores the mythical life of King Arthur through the eyes of three kitchen staff preparing a feast in his castle. Down in the underbelly of King Arthur’s castle, behind the skillets, behind the salad bowl, behind the cauldron, the stories of Arthur’s adventures and how he became king are revealed – or are they? Knights, damsels in distress, great feats of dare deviling and heroics AND a knife that just won’t come out of the birthday cake. All play a part in a smorgasbord of wildly imaginative tales. Sure to be a rib tickler, King Arthur’s Kitchen is as colourful as it is comic. The 50-minute play will be a fast paced laugh fest as the workers overcooked imaginations place themselves in key moments and situations of young Arthur’s rise to being one of Britain’s greatest kings.
