Winner of seven Olivier and five Tony awards, this play, adapted from Mark Haddon’s acclaimed novel, follows the first-person story of a teenage boy who describes himself as a “mathematician with some behavioral difficulties’ as he seeks to unravel the mysterious murder of his neighbor’s dog.

This will be an encore broadcast of National Theatres’s original broadcast of the stage play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, an adaptation of Mark Haddon’s novel by Simon Stephens. Below are some behind-the-scenes and trailer videos about the play. The first video, from National Theatre Discover, is about “the making of” the play – the cast and crew talk about how they created the world of play for the stage. The second video is a quick trailer for the broadcast of the stage play.

Featured in this video: Marianne Elliott (Director), Scott Graham (Movement Director), Mark Haddon (Novelist), Steven Hoggett (Movement Director), Simon Stephens (Playwright), Robyn Steward (Autism Consultant), Una Stubbs (Actor) and Luke Treadaway (Actor)
